Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name] (“Fiyna”, “we”) about the Fiyna mobile app, API and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Fiyna.

1. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information and keep your credentials and device secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [support email] if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • App Lock is a convenience on your device. It does not replace keeping your device and account secure.

2. What Fiyna is, and is not

Fiyna is a budgeting and record-keeping tool. It does not connect to your bank, hold your funds, process payments, or move money. Recording a bill payment, loan, repayment or settlement in Fiyna does not make that payment happen. Fiyna does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and its figures are only as accurate as the information entered. Check important numbers against your own statements.

3. Spaces, members and roles

  • Every account has a private Personal Space. You may create or join shared spaces.
  • Each shared space has an owner, who controls membership and may assign administrator, member or viewer roles. Role permissions are enforced by our servers.
  • Records in a shared space are visible to its members according to their roles. Do not add anything to a shared space you do not want its members to see.
  • Invitations are single use, tied to the invited email address and expire after 7 days.
  • If you are removed or leave, your access ends immediately. Records you created remain, attributed to you, so that others’ balances and history stay correct. Unresolved balances remain until the space owner or administrator resolves them.
  • Disputes between members about money, splits or settlements are between those members. We are not a party and do not mediate or guarantee payment.

4. Your content

You own the financial data and content you enter. You give us a limited licence to host, process, display and back it up solely to provide the Service to you and the members you choose. You are responsible for having the right to enter it, including information about other people.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: break the law; access another person’s account or space without permission; probe, scan or test the Service’s security without our written consent; bypass rate limits, quotas or plan limits; scrape or overload the Service; upload malware or unlawful content; use Fiyna to launder money, defraud, harass or threaten others; or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows.

6. Plans, fees and subscriptions

  • Fiyna offers a free plan and may offer paid plans. Features, limits and prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change for future billing periods.
  • Paid subscriptions are purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, which bill you and set renewal, cancellation and refund rules. Manage or cancel in your store account settings.
  • We never delete your financial history because a plan ends. If you exceed a lower plan’s limits, we may stop you creating new restricted items until you archive items or upgrade, and your existing data remains available to you and exportable.
  • App Lock and biometric unlock are free on all plans.

7. Export and deletion

You can export your data and delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy and on Delete your account. You may stop using Fiyna at any time.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or other users, or where required by law. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first.

9. Availability and changes

Fiyna is released in phases and features may change. We aim for a reliable Service but it may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may update these terms; for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they apply. Continuing to use Fiyna afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of calculations, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profits, lost savings or loss of data arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or PHP 1,000. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

12. Intellectual property

Fiyna, its name, logo, software and design belong to [Operator legal name] or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while these terms apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country, the courts of [city], Philippines have jurisdiction. Please contact us first at [support email] so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
